About the Opportunity

Indicium AI is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the development and implementation of complex, large-scale AI solutions, defining the technical direction, and mentoring other engineers. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and optimization of AI systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions utilizing LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agent development, and fine-tuning.
• Define the architecture and design of scalable, robust, and efficient AI systems.
• Optimize AI and data pipelines for maximum performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the integration of AI solutions with complex and mission-critical systems.
• Establish and maintain best practices for AI/ML development, testing, and deployment (MLOps and/or LLMOps).
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level AI engineers.
• Conduct research and evaluate new technologies and approaches in AI.
• Contribute to the definition of the company's AI strategy.
• Resolve complex and critical problems related to AI systems.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Software Engineering: Strong proficiency in Python, coupled with a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, software architecture, and distributed systems design.
• Generative AI & Agents: Proven track record of building and optimizing GenAI solutions using prompt engineering, RAG, agent frameworks, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Data & Integration Pipelines: Solid experience developing APIs and scalable ETL processes within cloud data environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks).
• Cloud Architecture: Solid track record of architecting high-availability, fault-tolerant solutions.
• MLOps & DevOps: Experience establishing CI/CD practices and automating the deployment pipeline for AI/ML models.
• Advanced English

Nice to haves

• Deep knowledge of Financial Services and Banking domain.
• Experience in technical leadership and AI project management.
• Relevant certifications in AI or cloud.
• Experience with data security and privacy in AI systems.
• Recognition in the AI community (publications, presentations, etc.).
• Experience with deployment of models from partners like Anthropic.
